I have been seeking to live an embodied, awake and intentional life for several decades. I still smile when I think about the first yoga class I ever took. It was in 1984- Greenwich Village, New York City at the Integral Yoga Institute. I was 24 years old and quickly became fascinated by the experience of doing sun salutations and pigeon pose and all the rest. Fresh off the farm from Floodwood, Minnesota yoga grabbed me by the heart, stimulated my intellect and help me connect with my body in a powerful way.

Over the years my interest in learning has been constant. Daily practice on my mat and meditation cushion along with intensive courses of study have fed my soul.

My yoga professional work continues to excite me, challenge me and keep me growing from the inside out. I’ve taught hundreds of classes in community education, private studio and higher education settings. Today, in the era of Covid 19 and the digital age I am enjoying the opportunity to connect with clients and students both locally and from around the world via Zoom and other electronic means.

On a day to day basis I am deeply connected to my spouse, our grandkids and political work. Some of the values that inspire me the most are curiosity, courage, compassion and community.
